McMurdo is one of the many ancient Highland clans of Scotland. From the McMurdo Distilleries, this very light, smooth whisky is a blend of the finest pot stilled Malt whiskies from the Scottish Highlands, and the highest quality grain of Edinburgh. In producing the McMurdo whisky, the malting barley is dried over peat-laden fires, resulting in the smoky flavour of the whisky. Along with the very pure water drawn from the Highland Springs, the master blender ensures the marrying of the subtle flavours to produce the character and quality of this very fine whisky.
The whisky is matured for at least three years in small oak casks to achieve a rounded flavour, delicate aroma. The McMurdo whisky is a fine example of the Scottish whisky makers' art.
